A touch panel computer installed with a general-purpose OS facilitates development of an application as a bar code reader terminal.
This system consists of a panel computer and a bar code reader connected with each other via RS-232C or USB. This system facilitates reading and displaying data from the bar code reader and transferring it to a server, PLC, or custom-designed controller. This system also facilitates read timing control and alarm output using the panel computer's built-in general-purpose I/O modules (three in each system). If more I/O modules are needed, the remote I/O (F&eIT) can be used for easy expansion.
