CONTEC Co. Ltd., a manufacturer of PC peripherals, industrial computers, and network equipment, has been strengthening lineups of SBC (Single Board Computer) and MB (Mother Board) products for embedded PC to deal with the multifunctionality of industrial devices, equipment and terminals. As part of it, the design and production system for the current chassis and backplane products are also reviewed, and the company has added new models to the lineups with improved setting flexibility and maintainability to meet customers' demands, and commenced sales of the new models at prices well below the current models.
Not only a 19-inch rack-mount type for a relatively large system is available for chassis for embedded PC, but also the best specification can be selected from combinations of the number of slots (4 to 14) and board size (half-size/full-size). Also, in addition to the normal types, that have the operation parts (drives/switches, etc.) in the front and interface connectors in the back, as shown in the picture below (Wall-Mount/Desktop Chassis FA-UNIT-M11BE), wall-mount/desktop types, that have the operation parts and interface connectors in the front so that no operation from the back side is required, are available for each size and a total of 10 models are added to the lineup.
Furthermore, for SBC backplanes used with a chassis, a total of 10 models for PICMG, PCI, and ISA types with different slot numbers are added to the lineup to support various SBC specifications.
With these new products, the company can offer more choices in combination with its SBC (13 models including the latest model) to the customers for embedding into their industrial devices, equipment and terminals at low prices.
Additionally, the company not only offers these products as parts, but also offers "Solution-ePC", a BTO (Build to Order) service that combines a chassis and MB/SBC, etc. to meet the customer's specifications.
