CONTEC Co., Ltd., a comprehensive manufacturer of PC peripherals, industrial computers, and network equipment, has developed and commenced sales of a PCI-bus compatible CPU board supporting the Intel® Pentium® 4 and Celeron® processors while incorporating a rich set of peripheral inputs and outputs. The product name is "Middle-size PCI single-board computer" and the model name is "SPC-8450-LVA."  The SPC-8450-LVA is a PCI bus compatible, high-performance CPU board based on the Intel 845GV+ICH4 chipset. It supports the Intel Pentium 4 (up to 2.8 GHz), Celeron D (up to 2.8 GHz), and Celeron processors (up to 2.6 GHz). The main memory can be expanded up to 1 GB by DDR-SDRAM corresponding to PC2100, capable of handling a wide range of increasingly complicated and advanced embedded applications.  While the SPC-8450-LVA is a PCI middle size which is compact (223 (L) x 122 (H) mm), it is designed to be all-in-one with a variety of peripheral resources. The board has assorted extension interfaces such as DVI-I, 100BASE-TX, USB2.0, EIDE, CF Card lot as well as legacy devices such as a serial port (RS-232C/422/485), parallel port, and PS/2 port. The CF Card slot can be connected to the secondary IDE port to enable boot-up from a CF memory card, allowing a system to be configured without a HDD (diskless system).
