Contec Co. Ltd., a manufacturer of PC peripherals, industrial computers, and network equipment, has developed and commenced sales of two new PICMG 1.0 compliant CPU boards for embedded applications (Product names: SPI-8451-LLVA and SPI-8451-LVA) that support the Intel® Pentium® 4 and Celeron® D processors.

The new SPI-8451-LLVA and SPI-845-LVA models are PICMG 1.0 CI-ISAcompliant CPU boards for embedded applications that use the Intel 845GV + ICH4 chipset and support the Pentium 4 processor (1.7G to 2.8GHz) and Celeron D processor (2.26G to 2.8GHz) CPUs. The boards support up to 2GB of PC2700 DDR SDRAM main memory. The boards also feature extensive expansion capabilities, with interfaces including 2 x EIDE, LAN, 6 x USB 2.0, audio, serial, parallel and PS/2, making the boards suitable for use in a wide range of complex and sophisticated embedded applications. The top-end SPI-8451-LLVA model features dual 1000BASE-T/100BASE-TX LAN ports, a RAID controller (supports RAID 0/1), DVI (PanelLink), and a LVDS interface. Dual View (two-screen display) is also supported via the LVDS and analog RGB (or PanelLink) interfaces.
