CONTEC Co., Ltd., a comprehensive manufacturer of PC peripherals, industrial computers, and network equipment, has the PCI bus expansion unit series deployed in the marketplace as a line of products for adding PCI slots to PCs. CONTEC has now developed new related products of the PCI Express-to-PCI conversion board which enables extension of a PCI Express slot to a PCI slot and commences their sales in model named "Extended adapter for PCI Express slot" from March, 22 (scheduled). Thereby, the combination variation of a PCI bus extension unit was extended further.

A new product "EAD-BE-LPEv is a board product which changes a PCI Express bus (x1) into a PCI bus (5V/32bit 33MHz). Using the PCI Express of your PC, and connect an optional PCI bus extension chassis (the case for PCI slot extension -- on sale) by the 1m cable only for attachments, a PCI slot of the personal compute can be extended. Thereby, Use of a PCI board is attained with the personal computer of only a PCI Express slot, and the application property which used the existing PCI board and the PCI board can be used effectively.
The new product "EAD-BE-LPE" supports to both a Low Profile slot and a standard size slot. The board which can be mounted can also use the small PC that limited only to Low Profile size. At the time of shipment, they are a bracket attachment settled for Low Profile slots, and attachmented bracket for standard size.
