October 18, 2007 - CONTEC, a leading manufacturer of computer peripheral equipment, industrial computers and network devices, is pleased to announce the release of three expansion chassis and adapters to expand PCI bus slot for either PCI Express bus or ExpressCard, the newest members of CONTEC’s PCI bus expansion unit.

ECH-PCI-CE-H2B connects PCs with cabled PCI Express to convert into PCI bus.  Either PCI Express or Express Card slots are available for expansion adapter.  Using cabled PCI Express allows existing PCI boards to expand PCI bus slot capability from either PCI Express or ExpressCard slot which are equipped with high-function and latest model computers.  The expansion chassis and adapters feature power-interlock capability when it turns on/off.

CONTEC's ECH-PCI-CE-H2B, EAD-CE-LPE and EAD-CE-EC are lead-free (exceeding JEITA Phase 2 requirements) and are RoHS-compliant.
