The GDIO-3232LX-USB and GDIO-1616LX-USB are USB2.0-compliant isolated digital I/O modules that provide 12 – 24VDC digital input / output signals through a computer’s USB ports.
These modules are compact (180mm (w) ×140mm (d) ×34mm (h), provide 32/16 channels of optocoupler isolated digital input (compatible with current sink output) and 32/16 channels of optocoupler isolated open-collector outputs (current sink) with a maximum response time of 200μsec. They support a wide range of I/O voltages from 12 to 24VDC. All input signals can be used as IRQ signals.
These modules have a 1port USB hub function. Using a daisy chain style connection, up to 4 of CONTEC’s USB modules can be connected through a single USB port on the host PC. Input channels of the GDIO-3232LX-USB and GDIO-1616LX-USB offer digital filters to help prevent erroneous recognition of noise and chatter. A zener diode offers surge protection and a poly switch provides overcurrent protection on output channels. Units are shipped with a USB cable, a clamp to prevent accidental disconnection of the cable and Windows® drivers. Module connectors and pin assignments are compatible with CONTEC’s PCI bus-compliant PIO-32/32L(PCI)H / PIO-16/16L(PCI)H and the PCI Express GDIO-3232L-PE / GDIO-1616L-PE. This allows easy migration to a system using the USB modules from a system using PCI / PCI Express.
Customization of this product is available. Please contact CONTEC sales offices or distributors.
