Not only the STP straight cable (12m) of standard appending but a commercial category 5e cable (Gigabit Ethernet correspondence) can be used.       5Gbps (*2) High-speed Full Duplex Link      The high-speed serial transmission PCI bridge tip [ StarFabric ] of StarGen (U.S. Massachusetts state) is adopted. High-speed transmission of the PCI bus signal is carried out by the 5Gbps*2 full duplex link (2.5Gbps of transmission / 2.5Gbps of reception*2).       PCI bus plug compatible. Change needlessness of software.   Of course, the PCI slot of an expansion chassis is PCI bus plug compatible (5V/32bit 33MHz).  A device driver special to the PCI board mounted in the expansion chassis is unnecessary, and can be used in the completely same procedure as mounting to the personal computer, being able to install.       A personal computer and a power supply interlock only by category 5e cable wiring.   The power supply of an extended chassis is interlocked with the power supply of a personal computer, and carries out "ON/OFF" automatically. And the cable for power supply linkage looked at by the similar product of the other company is unnecessary. Between the personal computer (extended adapter side), and an extended chassis, only the category 5e cable that transmits a PCI bus signal is required.         *1   There are some which do not operate in part with the specification of a personal computer / PCI board. Compared with the combination of a StarFabric-Compliant extension adapter and a PCI bus extension chassis, delay of a PCI bus signal is short and high-speed.       A Personal computer and a power supply interlock.   The power supply of an extended chassis is interlocked with the power supply of a personal computer, and carries out ON/OFF automatically.       *  There are some which do not operate in part with the specification of a personal computer / PCI board.
