Function Generator Waveform Generating Software
By
utilizing CONTEC digital-to-analog converter, Function Generator
outputs waveform signals generated by a PC. In addition to the
standardly provided waveform signals including sine, triangular, square
and pulse, this software can read the waveform data created at the
user¡Çs end from a file and output them.
Since the
output waveform can be set for each channel, signal output can he
conducted with a high degree of freedom. We are confident that this
software will find various applications at your test sties.
This DAC software allows you to simulate data acquisition without requiring an analog-to-digital converter.
Try out its basic features before purchasing the hardware.
(API-PAC(WDM) software driver for the demo board must be installed on your PC.)

| Function
Generator is capable of outputting waveform continuously for maximum 16
channels from one piece of CONTEC hardware which supports continuous
analog output. You can output the data by setting different
voltage range, offset voltage and waveforms (sine wave, square wave,
triangular wave, constant voltage, pulse, arbitrary wave)for each
channel. It is also possible to start/stop waveform output using an external trigger.

The waveform frequency that can be output will depend on the PC CPU, memory and hard disk performance.

|
| 1. Sampling clock setting |
Set
the fixed value either for sampling clock or for the number of waveform
points. The one for which fixed value is not set will be modified
according to the waveform frequency based on the following formula:
Waveform output frequency (Hz) = 1/(Number of waveform generation points x sampling clock (sec.))
|
| 2. Stop button setting |
Select whether you wish to stop immediately or only after the waveform is finished when Stop button is clicked.
"Stopping after output finished" can be selected only for FIFO output mode.
|
| 3. Output mode |
Switch between FIFO output mode and Waveform generator mode.
Characteristics of FIFO output mode: Data is set for each waveform and waveform can be changed during output.
Characteristics of Waveform generator mode: While waveform cannot be changed during output, this mode allows for faster output.
|
| 4. Pulse duty |
| Set the HIGH ratio on pulse waveform. |
