(http://www.contec.com) ◆ Firmware upgrading precaution =========== *Do not downgrade the firmware. *The required time for upgrading CPS-MC341-ADSC1-931: about 15 minutes other models: about 40 minutes *********************************************************************** * Do not turn off the power when LED ST1 and ST2 are on. * * Doing so may break the data and device will be unable to boot. * *********************************************************************** * The former task program (1.8.1 or earlier) will convert and run in the .2.0.0 and later version. However, the screen that was created in the former monitoring (1.8.1 or earlier) cannot be used. The screen needs to be created again with new tools. * If the current firmware is less than Ver.3.8.0,​ please execute the update after updating to Ver.3.8.0.​ * If the firmware for the CPS-PAV-AES1 series is less than Ver. 1.5.0, version 3.8.0 or later upgrade files cannot be used. Please make sure to confirm that the firmware for the CPS-PAV-AES1 series is Ver. 1.5.0 or higher before updating. ◆ Before upgrading =========== Have the followings ready ・Product (CPS-MC341 series) ・Host computer ・LAN cable ・Firmware upgrade file ◆ Version upgrading procedure =========== 1.Turn on the power of the CPS-MC341 product. 2.Connect the product to a host computer with a LAN cable. 3.Access the product via web browser from the computer. If the CPS-MC341 still has the default setting, set the host computer on the same network (e.g.:10.1.1.102) and enter "http://10.1.1.101" in URL. If you are uncertain of your IP address, the default settings (10.1.1.101) can be restored temporarily by turning on the power with SW1-2 switch on. 4.Log in the product. You will be asked to enter a user name and a password. Enter them and click "OK" button. If you are uncertain of the user name and/or password, the default settings (User name：mc341, Password：mc341) can be restored temporarily by turning on the power with SW1-2 switch on. 5.Follow the instruction below to go to "Firmware version up" menu. -The curent firmware version v2.XX In the "Status nemu", click "Maintenace menu", and then "Firmware version up"in the Backup group. Click "Browse" button. Specifiy the file in the host computer to upload. Click "upload" button. -The curent firmware version v3.XX In the "Memu", click "Firmware Version Up" in the Maintenace group. Click "Browse" button. Specifiy the file in the host computer to upload. Click "Update" button. *If the firmware upgrade file is compressed (extension:zip), decompress it before uploading（extension:spk). 6.Upgrading will start and the product will be rebooted. LED display changes as described below. Upgrading ①PWR on, ST1 flashing (slow), ST2 off ②PWR on, ST1, ST2 flashing (fast) ③PWR on, ST1, ST2 off ④PWR on, ST1, ST2 flashing (slow) Rebooting ⑤PWR, ST1, ST2 on ⑥PWR on, ST1, ST2 off ⑦PWR on, ST1 flashing (slow), ST2 off 7.After rebooting completes, check the version. Access the product via web browser again. From "Menu", click "System" under the group of Status. ◆ Version upgrading history =========== Ver3.9.5 -------------------------------- - Added TAG name setting function for OPC UA server function. Problem Fix - With the mail send function, some addresses are not sent correctly. - Communication is interrupted when duplicate data is sent in FacilityView communication. Ver3.9.3 -------------------------------- - Added the "UTC+5:30" setting to the time zone. - The function was added in MTConnect containing model. Added DTAG to the available data. Ver3.9.2 -------------------------------- Problem Fix - HMI was updated (ver2.18.2 to ver2.18.3). For details, refer to "Online Help". - VTC was updated (ver1.86 to ver1.88). Ver3.9.1 -------------------------------- Problem Fix - MQTT certificate information may not be restored successfully. - The FacilityView Transfer Settings screen bug-fixed as follows: Cannot overwrite and save a comment-entered setting when the Cloud Key is set to the maximum limit. When overwriting a Cloud Key that has already been commented and saved, the confirmation message for overwriting is not displayed. - HMI was updated (ver2.18.1 to ver2.18.2). For details, refer to "Online Help". Ver3.9.0 -------------------------------- - WEB server function update. WEB server certificate (self-signed), updated trusted root CA certificate bundle. Added WEB server certificate (self-signed) issuing function. Added function for users to upload any trusted root certificate. Added setting items for communication methods allowed by the web server. HTTP, HTTPS, HTTP/HTTPS (default) - WEB server reinforcement. Countermeasures against overflow. Countermeasures against denial of service. Ver3.8.4 -------------------------------- Problem Fix - The FacilityView bug-fixed as follows: Communication will be interrupted if it continues to operate for more than 30 days. There is a possibility that blank data may be sent while updating the CONPROSYS firmware. Ver3.8.3 -------------------------------- Problem Fix - Unable to connect to OPC UA during Basic256Sha256 certificate authentication. Ver3.8.2 -------------------------------- - The support for the FacilityView function started. model：CPS-MC341-ADSC1-931 - SD card write-protect function enabled. - The support for the OPC UA client function of Node-Red started. Problem Fix - Wireless LAN connection does not recover from a slow state when the communication speed slows down. Ver3.8.1 -------------------------------- - Support for requesting DHCP clients with broadcast flag ON/OFF. - Added "Wireless LAN Alive Monitoring" item to the Wireless LAN Settings screen. Problem Fix - In the tag edit function, after saving the initial value, it may not be set at startup. - Email sending function does not resend properly. - VTC "WAIT" component stops when CONPROSYS time is set to a past date. - VTC was updated (ver1.85 to ver1.86). For details, refer to “Online Help”. Ver3.8.0 -------------------------------- - Added the following vulnerability countermeasures. 1. OS Command Injection Vulnerability In the following page, the entered value is not properly validated, which makes it possible to execute OS commands. [Network] maintenance page [Mail] setting page [Static Routing] setting page [Port Forwarding] setting page [IP Filter] setting page 2. Firmware tampering vulnerability Firmware structure can be analyzed due to insufficient cryptographic strength of firmware update files. 3. Vulnerability to inadequate access restrictions Network maintenance page originally accessible only with administrator privileges can be accessed with normal privileges. Problem Fix - The "Connect" component does not work in the VTC subroutine process. Ver3.7.6 -------------------------------- - Added protocol setting to port forwarding function. Problem Fix - MQTT service stops after disconnecting from server. - For data transmission function, the probability that transmitted data may remain depending on the device settings. - Router function cannot be set due to timing of activation of 3G network. - Deleting a file on the FTP server, but still receiving the previous file. - VTC processing proceeds even though FTP reception has not been completed. - VTC was updated (ver1.82 to ver1.85). Ver3.7.5 -------------------------------- - Changed the number of TOPICs for MQTT publish/subscribe to a maximum of 16. - Added "2: SD card error" and "3: write error" for "SD Recognition" in Modbus status. - The functions “Forced Reboot” and “Repair SD and Reboot” were added. - The support for the router function started. DHCP server, static routing, port forwarding, and IP filter functions were added. Problem Fix - CHS settings are not reflected when Data Transfer Service is restarted. - In the tag edit function, the "%" character is empty when registered as a STAG. - Modified so that data transmission can continue even if SD is in an error state when "Auto Backup" is enabled in the Data Transfer setting. Ver3.7.4 -------------------------------- - Changed the method for transmitting blank data to Azure. - For the "Auto Backup Folder", when there is no free space on the SD card when creating a new compressed file (YYYYMMDD.tgz), added the process of deleting the oldest compressed file to free up space. - Rebooting function for NTP time synchronization service was added. Problem Fix - MQTT tag setting is not initialized by DIP switch. - CPS-MC341Q-ADSC1-111 bug-fixed as follows: Review of the channels that can be selected from the 920MHz page of the web setting screen. Corrected to set the carrier sense value and transmit carrier sense time according to the setting parameters. In 920MHz communication, sending a request from a parent to a child is lost. Depending on the setting, time synchronization may not be set. Added a process to restore communication when a communication error occurs in the configuration of a child unit. - VTC was updated (ver1.80 to ver1.82). For details, refer to “Online Help”. Ver3.7.3 -------------------------------- - The LED control processing for shutdown by the MCS341 series power switch is integrated with the processing by the MC/MG341 series shutdown switch. - Added Expansion SDK Add custom type [file]. - Added the communication monitoring interval to the 920Mhz configuration screen. Problem Fix - Expansion SDK was fixed Cannot remove or edit options of custom programs for startup if they contain the "/" character. Unable to get local time in custom program. - 920Mhz setting is not reflected in User's Restrictions. - Data hopped in 920MHz communication causes a thumb check error. - 920MHz communication stops. - VTC stops working when VTC accesses an unregistered 920MHz Child unit. - The first MQTT transmission by VTC does not work. - If the comments in the configuration file are empty characters, the text doesn't disappear after restoring the TAG information. Ver3.7.2 -------------------------------- - Changed the method for transmitting Japanese data to Azure. - The function was added to the product 3G model（CPS-MC341G-ADSC1-111, CPS-MC341G-ADSC1-110）. Added a setting to enter the PIN code if the SIM is locked. Added AT command history on the log page. - Added a function to restart the device when kernel panic occur. Problem Fix - Fix CHS function below "Cloudkey" can't be registered when a new tag is added to it. - Parentheses, "(" and ")", can't be used for password on 3G setting. - Fixed startup process of CPS-MC341G-ADSC1-110. - Fix the process of restart 3G module. model: CPS-MC341G-ADSC1-111 - VTC was updated (ver1.79 to ver1.80). Baudrate:460800 bps can be selected from serial setting of "Link setting". For details, refer to “Online Help”. Ver3.7.1 -------------------------------- - Added the function to reassign the IP address when the IP address of the wired LAN (eth0) is lost. - Changed the restoring function to restore the specified or all items. - The device file that can be used in the expansion SDK custom program was added. Problem Fix - VTC was updated (ver1.78 to ver1.79). For details, refer to “Online Help”. Ver3.7.0 -------------------------------- - The industrial value conversion function for analog input values was added (the CPS-MC341-ADSC1 Series and CPS-MC341-A1 models). Ver3.6.1 -------------------------------- - The backup function was added. SD card was added as a destination to download the backup file to. The name of the backup file was changed. - SMS function was added to the product 3G global model(CPS-MC341G-ADSC1-110). - The restoring function was changed to restore the specified items. - Functions for FTP were added. Files are able to be sent and received to and from multiple FTP servers. The prohibited character "." to be used in the middle of a folder name was changed to a permitted character. - The number of characters for a password was increased. (30 to 64 alphanumeric characters) in the [Mail] setting page. - On the [Time] setting page, the function was changed to write the time in temporary storage space and RTC by clicking the “Update” button. - The settings of the "Server Connection Timeout" and the "Data Transfer Timeout" were added in the [Data Transfer] function and the[FTP Put] function. - The number of characters for a client ID was increased. (23 to 256 alphanumeric characters) in the [MQTT Connection] page. Problem Fix - Unnecessary DNS queries were sent to the 3G network. - The values of VTC "Batch Read" control and "Batch Read (Str)" control were sometimes unable to be viewed properly. - Setting up the Data Transfer Service generated file names with wrong dates. - VTC was updated (ver1.77 to ver1.78). For details, refer to “Online Help”. Ver3.6.0 -------------------------------- - For FTP function, made the folder hierarchy settable from VTC. - The setting of NTP synchronization time became available. - The functions in MQTT Client were added. The number of MQTT publish/subscribe data were increased up to 3000 for each cloud key. The support for CSV import/export for the data settings in MQTT publish/subscribe were added. Enable and disable functions for each data in MQTT publish/subscribe were added. Two types for the publishing options in MQTT publish setting were added. Changed for cloud key to be specified when STAG is set for payload in MQTT subscribe setting. Rebooting function for MQTT service was added. - Modbus Slave function The support for the single holding register writing (function code : 0x06) started. AO module (0x0000-) - Modbus area web monitoring function/writing function were added. - The support was added for the extension SDK USB serial device to be controlled by custom program. - HMI was updated (ver2.18.0 to ver2.18.1). Problem Fix - The MQTT bug-fixed as follows: The check process upon uploading the certificate on MQTT connection setting screen. Upon starting up MQTT Client, a connection started to the Broker before time setting has been completed. - OPC UA did not work when using Link local address. - Data were sent in a different format file from the specifications in the data transfer function. - An additional letter was added when selecting [CR+LF] in VTC log control. - The following data were not deleted even when they were kept longer than three days. Problem Fix - For Azure transmission, the files are divided to send if the file size is 1023 bytes or greater. Ver3.4.1 -------------------------------- - Service Restart supports. Data Transfer, PLC, 3G, 920MHz, OPCUA - Added OPC UA functions. The Listen port is able to be edited. The Response Address is able to be edited. Problem Fix - TAG Edit 4 byte characters were not able to be changed in Binary value. Tasks in up to 20 pages are able to be edited, saved, and debugged. Increased TAG and STAG functions TAG and STAG variables are increased up to 500. The following functions are added. Comment setting Display function Monitoring function Comment display function is added in HMI and VTC. The operation status graph is added in HMI graph item. Increased the user management function Limitations on the functions for a general user are changed.(Administrator only) - Wireless LAN encryption support (NONE,WEP,WPA-PSK(AES),WPA-PSK(TKIP),WPA2-PSK(AES),WPA2-PSK(TKIP),WPA/WPA2-PSK(AUTO)) Problem Fix - The probability that WEB setting screen was not displayed properly when using Internet Explorer. - The probability that the wireless LAN was not linked properly. Ver3.1.2 -------------------------------- Problem Fix - RTC will be set after synchronization with NTP server. model：CPS-MC341-ADSC1-931 - The problem which the files remain in "Send Folder(Azure)" when more than 2 process of "Send Azure IoT" on VTC are excuted at the same time. - The probability that some section of measured data disappears from the file (.csv) in resend folder. - The storage period of the resend file was changed. Period : two days to three days. Ver3.1.1 -------------------------------- Problem Fix - After the device is activated, there is a problem with LAN A (eth0) about the network connection. Ver3.1.0 -------------------------------- - WEB setting screen: Display of address in Modbus is unified in hex. - Top page will be shown properly if move to the old page for Ver.2XX. - The setting page refers to a browser setting for langugage. Problem Fix: - When specific string was in STAG, it was unable to be displayed on HMI. - Tasks became unstable when using variables in VTC operation. - When writing with F＆eIT protocol into a device, it should response by 0x40 if the resource of queue was insufficient. - The “Open from local disk”in HMI&VTC was unable to operate in Firefox 61 or later versions. - Modified the following settings on WEB setting screen Setting range: Domain name to Domain name[0 to 128 of one-byte alphanumeric letters, hyphen (-), and dot (.)] 3G: APN Time: NTP server FTP: FTP host name Mail: SMTP server Ver3.0.4 -------------------------------- Problem Fix - CONNECTION STRING of Azure setting can not be set properly. - Digital Filter of Device setting does not work properly. - Compressed file(.tgz) is not shown from Auto Backcup Folder - NTP result are not correctly stored in Modbus address(0x5000~) after synchronization with NTP server. Ver3.0.3 -------------------------------- - Change the process of extracting file. - On network confirmation page, change to clear the log file before executing each command. Problem Fix - In DIP switch setting, some initializations were unable to be done properly. - On mail setting page, multiple registration of mail address by separating with comma was unable to be done. - Some MTConnect settings from Web browser were unable to be done Ver3.0.2 -------------------------------- Problem fix: - String calculation control of VTC worked differently from the previous version. Fixed: Insert an empty string into STAG when number of characters to extract is beyond the specified scope or 0. - Administrator: mc341 was unable to be deleted in Login/Password setting. - Some DIP switches were not properly initialized. - Some 920MHz settings were not properly backed up. - Some 920MHz settings were not properly configured. - Send file and Resend file were not sent properly from VTC upon FTP sending. Ver3.0.1 -------------------------------- Problem fix: - The device tree of VTC is not displayed correctly. Ver3.0.0 -------------------------------- - VTC update (ver1.21→ver1.30) -Calculating control was added. -For system information control, the contents such as serial number were added. - HMI update (version 2.12 to 2.14) -Refer to Online Help for details. - Upgrade WEB setting screen -920Mhz sampling data transfer and reception function was added. -Data of 920Mhz Slave can be treated with Master VTC, HMI. -Support communication with the wireless I/O module of 920Mhz model (DIO-0404LY-WQ,AI-1004LY-WQ). -Digital filter setting function was added for the ADSC1 model device setting. Problem fix: - The system shuts down when using TP link driver (8188eu). -Updating stops when connecting through wireless LAN Ver2.5.0 -------------------------------- - VTC's Vup ver1.11→ver1.21 - "String treats as" property was added in each control of Calc String and Split String. - "Get data size" was added in Action property of Str2Num control. - FTP(Put) and FTP(Get) controls were added. - FANUC CNC input control was added. - The contents of system information control were modified. Problem fix: - When reading a file, modify to delete “CR”, “LF” or “CRLF” if the “CR”, the “LF” or the “CRLF” is found at the end of the string. - FTP client function was added. - The group which has the intermediate privilege between the root and the other was added. (The group name: User) - The group names were redefined due to an addition of the user group. Root- Admin User- User (intermediate group) Other- Guest Problem fix: - In the system information register (Modbus0x5014), the last letter of "TransferErrorInfo" cannot be written. - The second time Open fails when the VTC commands the COM port to be opened or closed. - FANUC CNC data cannot be set in PrintOutput in the specified order. - The selected OPC UA client certificate cannot be deleted on OPC UA setting page. - On the file display page, data file in the folder of Azure and Mail cannot be deleted. - In Task, when the [Input String] control is placed after the [Connect] control is placed, a message is obtained that was received while the [Disconnect] control is being placed or before the [Connect] control is placed. Ver2.4.2 -------------------------------- - Problem fix: Failed to obtain IP address of 3G-wired connection in the global 3G model (CPS-MC341G-ADSC1-110). - Problem fix: Specifying Adapter of 3G-wired connection was incorrect. - Problem fix: Wireless LAN was not automatically connected to AP. Ver2.4.0 -------------------------------- - The function was added in OPC UA containing model(CPS-MC341-ADSC1-931) - STAG was added in OPC UA tree. - Support MTConnect(CPS-MC341-ADSC1-931） - MTConnect was added in the menu of configuration. - MTConnect was added in the service setting of configuration page. - Change the file at the initial setting of the monitoring screen. - Problem fix: SIM card authentication type was not set properly. - When saving the monitoring screen, ROM remaining capacity was displayed smaller than it actually was. Ver2.3.3 -------------------------------- - Problem fix: Task closed unexpectedly when device ID, channel, bits were specified for the property values of VTC task items (input and output) to run. Ver2.3.2 -------------------------------- Problem fix: When connecting to the network via USB wireless LAN, timeout will be performed if IP address is not assigned from dhcp server within a specified time. Problem fix: Even SW1 No. 2 is on, USB wireless LAN operates by user setting. - A box becomes inactive if Search is selected in SSID of the wireless LAN set ting.The scan button and the list become inactive if Manual is selected. - TCP port (1~65535) can be set on OPC UA setting page. - The notation of OPC-UA changed to OPC UA. Ver2.3.1 -------------------------------- Problem fix: Task ends when accessing DO from the task. Ver2.3.0 -------------------------------- - Administrator setting function was added. Separate into two groups of Administrator (root) and General users (other) - The additional function in Login password setting was added. A user can choose whether to enter User and Password is necessary at log-in. (User and Password are always required in the Administrator page) - HMI Editor Version upgrading ver2.12.1 - Task Editor Version upgrading ver1.11 - TAG00 - 99 were added in the OPC-UA tree. - Azure data sending function became available. - File compression function in Auto backup folder was added. Backup files are compressed at 3:59 am once a day. (excludes from 0:00 to 3:59) - Support communication with FANUC CNC (Model 931 exclusively) Serial communication port setting in the device setting was added on the Web configuration page. Communication data was added in OPC-UA data. - Start-up process of the DIP switch changed. When DIP-SW1 is 2:ON 3:OFF, IP starts with default state. (login user should not be default state) - TELEC number display was added in the system information of 3G model. - Mail sending function was added. - USB Wifi support - Updated Kernel - Enhanced Modbus Slave function System information was added to 0x5000 and later addresses of the input register - Check the ROM space when saving HMI settings Ver2.2.0 -------------------------------- Apply CDS2 -Added "CDS2 format" and "Cloudkey" for Data transfer setting. Ver2.1.4 -------------------------------- Problem fix: Unable to update from the version earlier than Ver.1.4.0 to the latest version.
