This section provides additional information about the firmware update procedure for CAN-2-USB and CAN-2-WF (hereinafter referred to as the "device"). For information on how to use the device, please refer to the reference manual. - Notes on firmware update ========================== * You cannot downgrade the version. If you do, the device may not startup. * If your device will no longer start up properly, please return it to us for repair. ******************************************************************** * Do not turn off the power while the ST LED is flashing. * * Otherwise, data get damaged and the device is unable to startup. * ******************************************************************** - Advance preparation ========================== Please prepare the following items: - Device - Host computer : 1 unit - USB Type A to C cable : 1 piece - Firmware upgrade file : 1 piece - Upgrade procedure ========================== 1.Turn on the power of the device. 2.Connect the device to the host computer with a USB cable. 3.Access via a web browser from the host computer. If the device is in the factory settings, set the host computer to the same network (e.g. 192.168.4.10) and enter "http://192.168.4.10" in the URL. If you do not know the IP address of the device, turn SW1-5 ON and restart the device. 4.Login to the device A password entry screen will appear, so enter the password and press the OK button. 5.Go to the Firmware Version Up screen [Menu] → [Maintenance] → [Firmware Version Up] Click the [Choose File] button, select the upgrade file on the host computer, and then click the [Update] button. * If the upgrade file is compressed (extension: zip), please unzip the file and upload it. 6.The upgrade will begin and the device will restart. The ST LED will flash fast while the upgrade is in progress. 7.After the restart is complete, please check the version.
