Contec has developed the analog waveform output software C-WaveformGenerator and started providing a free download service from May 30, 2023.

C-WaveformGenerator

The new product is software that allows you to easily output basic waveforms using our analog output devices on Windows 11/10. It is compatible with the extensive measurement control device PC-HELPER series (PCIe/PCI, USB).
This new product has a GUI like a benchtop signal generator, and can output a voltage of up to ±10 V or a current of 0 to 20 mA in just one click*. It eliminates the need for cumbersome programming.

• * The output range varies depending on the specifications of the analog output device.

The basic operation is to set the output waveform or device from six pre-registered basic waveforms (DC, sine wave, triangular wave, square wave, ramp wave, noise) and click the OUTPUT button. In addition, analog waveform output is possible as-is for waveform data generated in Microsoft Excel or CSV files stored in our data logger software C-LOGGER.

By replacing the benchtop signal generator (function generator) with the new product, the system can be constructed on a PC basis in a smaller space and with greater flexibility for pseudo-signals to custom circuits that process rotary encoder signals and input waveform signals to bipolar power supplies for electronic component inspection.

Main Features

• Includes six basic waveforms that do not require programming and can be used immediately

  ・Includes DC, sine wave, triangular wave, square wave, ramp wave, and noise basic pre-registered waveforms.
  ・Simply select the basic waveform, and click the OUTPUT button to generate the output.
  ・The frequency of the basic waveforms is 0.1 Hz to 10 kHz. (The upper limit varies depending on the device used)
  ・Auto burst and trigger burst are also supported.

• Sweep output is possible

  ・The basic waveforms can be swept offline and output.
  ・Frequency sweep, amplitude sweep, DC offset sweep, and square wave duty sweep are supported.

• Linkage with other software

  ・Waveform data generated in Microsoft Excel (CSV format) can also be used with C-WaveformGenerator.
  ・It is also possible to link with our data logger software C-LOGGER.
