Contec has updated its API-TOOL—a set of Windows device drivers—for Windows 11, bringing official compatibility with the latest Windows OS to more than 250 Contec measurement control and communication devices.

Contec’s API-TOOL is a software development kit that includes drivers for more than 250 types of measurement control and communication devices. The kit provides analog I/O, digital I/O, counting, motion control, and other functions individually in an integrated form while ensuring high compatibility at the API level with no bus dependency needed. This enables transferring with minimal code modification even if the hardware configuration changes. Multi-platform support makes it possible to utilize all valuable development assets. The API-TOOL also includes various sample programs written in Visual Basic .NET, Visual C#, Visual C++, Python, and other popular programming languages, as well as tutorials for beginners, online help for API function references, and useful device diagnostic utilities for assisting developers.
