CONTEC Co., Ltd. (listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Securities Code: 6639—hereinafter "CONTEC") has developed a new series of powerful yet compact FA computer, GPC-700 (hereinafter called “new product”) featuring world-wide safety standard. It has started receiving orders for the GPC-700 series from January 8, 2020.

 The new product series is a line of small form factor FA computers featuring Mini-ITX industrial motherboards designed by CONTEC. In addition to being compact in size, it is equipped with a high-performance Core i5 processor, as well as various available memory capacities, software mirroring storage configurations, and operating systems, etc. Furthermore, these models include one low-profile expansion slot, three Gigabit LAN ports, and eight USB ports for superior scalability.
 Although system builders have expressed a desire to standardize Windows computer aspects for the sake of quality control, exporting has not been possible due to certification issues, resulting in manufacturers having to procure Windows-operated computers locally.
 The new product—developed for global use and designed to help the system builders that export products globally to solve such problems—is compliant with various national safety standards including VCCI, FCC, CE, and CCC, and enables the system builders to select the AC cable necessary for their region.
