Contec Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nishi-yodogawa-ku, Osaka; President: Kazuyoshi Nishiyama) has developed the FPD-V Series of new industrial touch panel displays with support for various installation methods. Sales of this new series will begin on January 28, 2025.

The new FPD-V Series industrial touch panel displays boast a slim profile that allows for installation in a variety of ways. The series will be gradually expanded to include a wide range of sizes, from 10-inch compact models to 20-inch or larger models. The new design includes carefully selected components to meet the high-reliability, long-term supply requirements for industrial applications.

The first model to be made available will be the FPD-V11WB-10, an 11.6-inch wide model that supports full HD resolutions with a projected capacitive (PCAP) screen featuring 10-point multi-touch functionality and HDMI and USB Type-C input interfaces. In addition to VESA mounting, the series will also support panel mounting (both outer and inner applications) with an optional mounting kit.

Main Features

• Support for a wide variety of installation and mounting methods to suit any application

  The FPD-V Series will support panel mounting (front: outer mount; rear: inner mount), VESA mounting, PC mounting, and more. Optional panel mounting brackets will be available from Contec.

• Host PC power supply interlock for improved convenience

  Power interlocking is possible by connecting the display to a Contec industrial PC (LPC-400) using an HDMI cable. This makes it possible to turn on the host PC even if it is located in a hard-to-reach location just by turning on the display power. (Support may vary depending on the time the product was sold. • Power suppliable via the USB interface

  The FPD-V Series can be connected to a host PC that supports USB Type-C DP Alt Mode connections for power, helping to minimize wiring.

• Industrial touch panel display with long-term supply

  Unlike general-purpose displays, the FPD-V Series offers high-reliability, long-term supply with carefully selected components. This eliminates the need for equipment designers to re-verify connectivity and change settings whenever the display model is changed out.
