Contec Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nishi-yodogawa-ku, Osaka; President: Kazuyoshi Nishiyama) has developed two new industrial switching hubs—the SH-9005FT and the SH-9008FT—featuring a compact, flat design for installation in tight spaces, and DC power input with support for dual power supplies. These two new products became available to purchase on December 2, 2025.

The new SH-9005FT and SH-9008FT industrial gigabit switching hubs adopt a compact, flat design that allows installation in the narrow spaces of equipment and control panels. They also conform to IEEE 802.3ab (1000BASE-T), IEEE 802.3u (100BASE-TX), and IEEE 802.3 (10BASE-T) standards and support AutoMDI/MDI-X and auto-negotiation.
The hubs also support a wide range of power supply inputs (8 to 54 VDC) and dual power supplies in addition to reverse power connections. The fanless structure of the metal housing, which boasts excellent heat dissipation, also supports a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +70°C (-40 to +158°F), making the products suitable for environments where use of general switching hubs is not possible.
These two industrial gigabit switching hubs can be used in a wide range of applications, including automobile and electronic parts factories as well as in food and drug factories, distribution and warehousing facilities, building management and security settings, stations, and commercial facilities.

The compact, flat design of these switching hubs enables easy wiring even when used in space-saving panels.

- Equipped with 1000BASE-T-compatible ports
These switching hubs are equipped with ports capable of supporting up to IEEE 802.3ab (1000BASE-T) standards.
The fanless design also makes it possible to use in locations requiring quiet operation and long service life.
- Support for a wide range of power inputs and dual power supplies
The SH-9005FT and SH-9008FT support DC power input from 8 to 54 VDC. Support for dual power supplies also means the hubs can still be operated even if there is a problem with one of the power supplies. The hubs also feature a safety design that ensures correct operation even if the power supply is wired in reverse.
- Support for a wide range of temperatures (-40 to +70°C, -40 to +158°F)
The SH-9005FT and SH-9008FT’s metal casing with excellent heat dissipation enables a wide operating temperature range (-40 to +70°C, -40 to +158°F) and superior environmental resistance and durability, allowing for dependable usability even in harsh industrial environments.
- Installable on walls and DIN rails
In addition to standard wall installations, the included DIN rail mounting bracket allows installation on a 35 mm DIN rail.
