Get to Know Brad Jens, Our New Executive VP Sales & Marketing

Japan、Africa、Asia、Europe、Middle East、North America、Oceania、Latin America

We were thrilled to announce to the world this month our most recent hire, Brad Jens formerly of Dell. Brad will fill the shoes of our beloved Dan Nelson, who left us in February to enjoy the sunny skies, crystal blue beaches and endless golf that accompany a hard earned retirement. We are thankful for his many years of service to Contec and wish him well.

Now that Brad has officially relocated from Atlanta, GA to Contec headquarters in sunny Melbourne, FL we thought we had a great opportunity to sit down with Brad and get to know him a little better.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself.
A: I was born in Okeechobee Florida and after living in virtually every state south of the Mason Dixon Line, I am finally returning to my roots! I am a proud graduate of Louisiana State University and have a particular fondness for the state of Louisiana where I was introduced to my best friend and wife of 20 years, Terri Jens. We met at a Piggly Wiggly back when I worked at Blue Bell Ice Cream. We are blessed to have two wonderful young men to call our son's, Hunter, 18 and Eric,15. We enjoy all things sports, sun and water, which makes our new home in Melbourne the perfect place to for us. I am the oldest of 8 children. My claim to sports fame is that I recorded two “hole in ones” while golfing with my best friends. I consider myself one of the luckiest men on the planet!

Q: You were a very successful rising star at Dell, what interested you about Contec?
A: I did have a great run at Dell and will always cherish the time I spent there. Great folks and great products. What really got me excited about Contec was the opportunity to work in a smaller, more focused organization addressing specific OEM markets such as medical and industrial automation. This focus allows us to provide much more value to our customers and to be a trusted advisor they can count on to deliver exactly what they need, when they need it.

Q: As you step into this new role, what is your primary focus?
A: My primary focus will be to introduce a larger segment of the OEM market to the Contec product portfolio and services capabilities.

Q: What do you think are the biggest opportunities for Contec?
A: The sky is the limit for Contec! Our biggest opportunity is to think differently than we have in the past and introduce more of the OEM market to what we have been doing successfully for the last 23+ years. Our products and solutions are applicable to a much wider audience than we have traditionally addressed in the medical space.

Q: We have a lot of sports fanatics here at Contec. We all want to know, what’s your favorite sports team?
A: I am a huge college football fan. Go LSU Tigers!
