It’s Getting Hot in Here

If you’re not used living in a tropical climate the weather conditions at Computex in Taipei, Taiwan can be a challenge. Needless to say, it is HOT! As an annual participant in the conference for many years, I knew how to prepare for climate change but nothing could have prepared me for the sizzling heat emanating from the DFI VIP Cocktail Party and Product Presentation. The guys are on fire!

The evening kicked off with an opening speech by Chairman, YC Lu. Next CEO, Franz Wei shared DFI’s vision for success by leveraging their long-term commitment to excellence in the embedded market. Director of Product Management, Jerry Chang detailed how DFI plans to begin an even greater force in the real world internet of things through by using R&D to turn new products and solutions out in an amazingly short amount of time.

DFI Takes the Lead in the Internet of Everything

Product Managers Leo Chen, Irene Cheng and William Huang reviewed DFI’s new In-Vehicle Fleet Management Solutions, Ethernet Switches for Intelligent Factory Automation and the next generation of Embedded Platforms including the recently released 2nd Generation AMD Embedded R-Series APU-based Mini-ITX boards The boards offer breakthrough graphics performance and power efficiency for embedded systems. The new AMD R-Series APUs feature AMD Radeon HD9000 Graphics technology providing ultra-immersive HD multimedia interactivity, and delivering up to 55% more 3D graphics performance than previous-generation AMD R-Series APUs.
