ThinManager is a centralized thin client and remote desktop management solution utilized by 20% of Fortune 100 companies and 1 in 10 Fortune 500 companies. In 2015, Automation Control Productsnew window (ACP) announced its new Relevance mobile platformnew window to extend the functionality and security of its ThinManager solution. Relevance provides the ability to be mobile, within your set perimeters, delivering the right content and applications to the intended employee at exactly the right time and place.

Some key features of ThinManager with Relevance include:

Location-Based Data Accessibility and Security

Applications and information can now be delivered based on an employee's location. This will allow your staff the option to have information automatically delivered to mobile devices upon entering an area or scanning an ID. Then, upon leaving the area, the information will be removed or hidden unless accessed by an authorized user.

Relevance uses five different kinds of location resolver technologies allowing you to completely define your workspace as a location-based, mobile facility:

  1. QR codes
  2. NFC
  3. Bluetooth
  4. WiFi
  5. GPS

Extra security can be easily implemented by creating geofences, which can be configured by combining two different resolver technologies, requiring both location resolvers to be satisfied in order to access the application.
After you have defined your locations, you can deliver applications and content to PCs, thin clients and mobile tablets based on their location. This allows administrators to secure tethered workstations and mobile devices by delivering information only to specific areas where that content is permitted to be accessed.

Screen Sharing Based on Proximity or Login

Relevance includes the ability to share screen information with other devices based on proximity or login. For example, an administrator can use their mobile device to view the same screen that a technician is accessing without having to look over their shoulder or switch seats. This access can be view only or interactive.

Accessibility and Mobility

To access these applications while mobile, ThinManager offers TMC (iTMC for Apple, DroidTMC for Android, and WinTMC for windows). This allows your tablet to be turned into a thin client. The application allows the user to run a session of the HMI or access the terminal server from a mobile device such as a phone or tablet. HMIs and other applications can be run on the go, without the need to develop individual mobile versions of your important applications.

ThinManager Relevance is ultra-secure as all data is stored on secure central servers and no data is saved locally. If a device is lost or stolen, no information or administrative paperwork is compromised.
