Available Services

This year's Health Fair included services offered by First2Aid which include health screenings, the opportunity to talk with different local health vendors and an optional flu shot.

Employees were able to pick between a biometric screening or a physical. The biometric screening includes tests for total cholesterol, LDL (bad cholesterol), HDL (good cholesterol), triglycerides, TC/HDL ratio, blood glucose, and blood pressure. The physical includes everything in the biometric screening, along with thyroid cancer screening, melanoma check, diabetes screening, a consultation with a doctor or nurse practitioner, and a health report card.

On top of the health services provided by First2Aid, employees also had the opportunity to talk with different local health vendors about services they provide that also support health and wellness.

These vendors included:

LA Fitness - benefits of a gym membership
PNC Bank - financial savings and investment opportunities
The Yoga Space of Melbourne - yoga classes and enrollment
Hungry for Health - dietary options and plans

These local companies provided our team with various ways to live life better - though physical activity, financial planning, stress relief management and healthy food options.

A "fair" wouldn't be a "fair" without prizes...right?

To help increase excitement for the health fair, all employees were provided with a bingo card. Each vendor would punch a hole on the bingo card after the employee visited them. Each employee that completed the bingo card was given a gift card to Academy Sports. On top of that, they were also entered into a drawing for even bigger prizes! Some of these prizes included tickets to Kennedy Space Center, Brevard Zoo and LegoLand, a SpaFinder Gift Card and a Fitbit!

Making sure our employees are healthy and have a good understanding of their health and services that are available to them is highly important to our organization. We look forward to the benefits from this year's Health Fair and the health fairs we will host for years to come.
