Contec Co., Ltd. has developed a USB2.0 compliant GPIB communication unit that converts a USB port of PC to a GPIB port. New product achieves ten times transfer rate than the previous product and lower cost. This unit which is a new product in the PC-HELPER series of PC measurement and control, will be released for sale from April 23, 2019.

New product is a USB 2.0 compliant and IEEE 488.2 compliant GPIB converter. This converter makes it possible to connect a measuring instrument or other device that equipped GPIB communication interface to a PC to realize remote control and data communication by the PC. New product is a successor and compatible converter of GP-IB(USB)FL (on sale).
Because this new product is equipped with the latest board communication controller, it achieves a ten times transfer rate than the GP-IB(USB)FL and 15% cost down.
