New Product Release: New BX-T3000 Series High-Performance, Space-Saving Embedded PC with a Compact A5-Size Design at Just 30 mm Thick

Contec has developed the BX-T3000 Series, a 15-model lineup of 30 mm thick A5-sized fanless embedded PCs with a Power Failure Protection system for operation even in the event of a power failure, eliminating the need to shut down the OS. Contec began taking orders for the new products on March 29, 2022.

Featuring an 8th-generation Intel Core (Whiskey Lake-U) processor, this new series of embedded computers is compact at just 30 mm thick and about the size of an A5 piece of paper (182 (W) × 155 (D) × 30.3 (H) mm) with an operating temperature range of −20 to 60°C*1. The new BX-T3000 Series offers 1.8 times*2 better CPU performance compared with the popular BX-T1000 Series of thin BOX Computers currently on sale, and a chassis approximately 1/3 the size. In addition, compared with the BX-T210—also currently on sale and featuring the same chassis size—the BX-T3000 offers drastically improved CPU performance at about 3.3 times*2 better.

Despite its thin and compact design, the new series is equipped with generous expansion interfaces including two 1000BASE-T ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.2 port, analog RGB, M.2 card slots, CFast card slots, and RS-232C/422A/485. The superior 5G vibration resistance and 100G impact resistance means the BX-T3000 can be used as controllers or operation terminals for industrial equipment in a variety of applications requiring environmental resistance.

The Power Failure Protection system of this new product protects data and prohibits writing to storage in the event of a power failure so that the power can be turned off safely even without performing a shutdown process.

In addition to TPM2.0, secure boot, and other latest security features, the BX-T3000 also features original Contec functions such as self-diagnosis and USB boot protection, ensuring the superior stability and security required for industrial applications.
