Contec Co., Ltd. has added a new four-channel thermocouple input expansion card to its CPI Series of Raspberry Pi® HAT-sized cards. The new card was released for sale on June 3, 2025.
CPI-SSI-4C
The new product extends the input of thermocouples widely used for temperature measurement to Raspberry Pi® CPU cards. The series of cards can be extended up to 8 cards, enabling up to 32 channels of thermocouple input systems. Ideal for applications such as semiconductor manufacturing equipment requiring multi-point temperature control, manufacturing equipment requiring temperature control, and food machines.
Main Features
- Compatible with various thermocouple input types
The CPI-SSI-4C can be used with a wide variety of thermocouple input types—J, K, E, N, R, S, and T.
- Cold junction compensation function
The built-in cold junction compensation function eliminates the need for external temperature sensors, with temperature measurement possible just by connecting a thermocouple.
- Linux software drivers available
The Sensor Input Driver API-SSI (LNX) makes it easy to create applications on Raspberry Pi®
