New Product Release: USB Digital Output Y Series Successor Model DO-16TY2-USB

Contec has developed the DO-16TY2-USB (hereinafter referred to as the "new product") as a successor to the USB-compatible Digital Output Y Series, and has started accepting orders as of today.
The new product maintains functional compatibility and connector compatibility with the conventional model DO-16TY-USB, allowing it to be used as an easy-to-handle digital output USB I/O terminal in the same manner as before. The device identification method has been changed to a switch setting, making it easier to identify units when multiple devices are connected.

Main Changes

The following table shows the model numbers and main changes between the conventional product and the successor model. We recommend evaluating the successor model before switching from the conventional product.

  • Device identification method changed from internal ID to switch setting, improving identification when multiple units are connected (conventional model uses an internal ID).
  • Maximum number of simultaneously connectable units: 127 → 16.
  • The driver (API-DIO(WDM) / API-DIO(LNX)) must be updated to the supported version.
