Contec Co., Ltd. has developed a fanless embedded computer model equipped with a Hailo-8 AI accelerator module for edge devices. Contec began loaning out the model as an evaluation unit today. Contec has also released Contec Edge AI Compass, a comprehensive platform that provides information for developing edge AI systems.

The BX-T310 Series and BX-M4600 Series are embedded computers equipped with many functions designed to ensure availability in industrial applications, such as a fanless design and CONTEC’s Power Failure Protection system for reliable operation without the need for shutdown. Contec has developed models in these series equipped with the Hailo-8, an ultra-high-performance, high-efficiency AI accelerator for edge devices, and will loan them out as evaluation units.

Contec has also released Contec Edge AI Compass, a comprehensive platform for edge AI system development. The website provides one-stop access to the information needed to develop edge AI systems with the Hailo-8, including development procedures, demo programs, how to obtain trained models, tools for converting existing models, and optimal hardware.

Loan units come with software such as the HailoRT runtime software installed. By following the system development procedures for the pretrained AI and machine learning models posted on Contec Edge AI Compass, users can quickly run inference demos. Try developing an edge AI system with the Hailo-8 through this campaign.

Contec will continue to add information on other AI accelerators, including Intel^® Core^™ Ultra processors, to Contec Edge AI Compass.
