Contec has developed the DIO-1616RYX2-USB in order to ensure the continued supply of the USB-compatible Digital I/O X Series, and has started accepting orders as of today.

Main Changes

While maintaining compatibility with the basic specifications and I/O circuitry, some specifications have been changed to ensure continuous production.
Before switching from the conventional product, please review and evaluate the following changes.

  • The USB communication LSI has been changed (to support continuous production and stable component supply).
  • The device identification method has been changed from an internal ID to a switch setting, improving identification when multiple units are connected.
  • Maximum number of concurrently usable units: 127 → 16.
  • When switching from the conventional product, the device driver API-DIO (WDM) / API-DIO (LNX) must be updated to a supported version.

    There are no changes to the API specifications or I/O operation specifications.
