Contec offers a wide lineup of devices that support various buses, including PCI Express, PCI, USB, and CardBus (PC Card), optimal for computer measurement control systems. Products that have the same function but are different in bus types are highly compatible and this ensures continued use of customer's applications and jigs connected to connectors.

Function equivalent products can continue to be used even when migrating from PCI products to PCI Express products and from CardBus products to USB products. This minimizes the migration workload of the customer and contributes to resource utilization.

Advantages of using function equivalent products:

• Library (function) compatibility enables changing to function equivalent products without changing the applications created by the customer.
• Connector shapes and signal arrangement compatibility enable changing to function equivalent products without changing cables, terminal blocks, and other jigs connected to connectors.

  For ADA16-32/2(CB)F, the connector of the optional adapter shielded cable (ADC-68M/96F) is compatible with USB products (96-pin half-pitch female).
