Contec introduces a newly developed extremely compact industrial computer with embedded Intel Celeron J6412 processor. The LPC-400 is the smallest model in the new LPC series of business computers, and Contec began taking orders for the new model on April 23, 2024.
LPC-400
This new business computer is embedded with the Intel Celeron J6412, low-power, quad-core CPU, features a fanless structure to prevent dust intake, and achieves affordability. With a very compact size of 150 (W) × 150 (D) × 33 (H) mm, this product can be used with the vertical stand or VESA mounting bracket to be installed anywhere, from tight spaces on a desktop to the back of a monitor. It also features an anti-theft security slot (NanoSaver 6×2.5 mm) for peace of mind when used in open spaces such as factory systems, retail POS systems, and hospital administrative and reception areas. The mounting bracket can be used to secure the product to a wall for use with embedded devices. This high-performance device comes built-to-order (BTO), enabling customers to select their desired memory capacity, storage, and OS specifications to optimize the product for their intended application and budget.
The LPC-400 series is equipped with a Tremont microarchitecture CPU that provides advanced computing and graphical performance even with minimal power requirements. Reliable supply is ensured by the adoption of embedded CPUs.
By adopting a fanless design with no CPU fan, the product prevents dust and foreign materials from entering the system and reduces the use of components that deteriorate with age as much as possible, greatly reducing maintenance and inspection burdens.
The Power Failure Protection™ system protects data and prohibits writing to storage in the event of a power failure. When used together with the Windows 10 IoT Enterprise lockdown (disk write suppression) feature, power can be safely turned off even without performing a shutdown process. This also helps prevent corruption of the file system and data due to sudden power loss.
The LPC-400 features TPM2.0 and secure boot security functions as well as proprietary USB boot protection, and it is designed with security required for industrial applications.
The optional VESA mounting bracket can be used to mount the product to the back of a monitor with VESA standard support.
Equipped with expandable interfaces including HDMI × 1, 1000BASE-T × 2, USB 3.2 Gen 2 (USB 3.1) × 3, USB 2.0 × 2, and USB Type-C × 1.
