Overview / Features

This product is a fan-less computer for embedded applications with an Intel Atom processor x5-E3940 (1.6GHz). It provides an ultra-compact design with a capability of operating in a wide temperature range (between -20 and + 60°C in an airflow environment of 0.7m/s). The product includes a rich array of interfaces in addition to DisplayPort, including USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0 × 4), LAN (× 2), and a slot for 2.5-inch slot-in SATA disks. Furthermore, the product types with wireless LAN function and Bluetooth are ready for connecting digital devices with ease, and they are ideal as IoT gateway terminals that can link to peripheral devices. Embedded-type CPU has been adopted. The use of readily available parts ensures the product to be applied easily. In addition, CONTEC-customized BIOS allows support to be provided at the BIOS level. and Contec's unique functions :"Power Failure Protection", "CONTEC Fast Boot", "Secure Boot USB Key", "Disk Copy", "Self-diagnosis" are available.

• Extremely compact space-saving PC with an A5 paper installation area

  • The space-saving design (30.3 x 182 x 155 mm (H x W x D)) of the BX-M210 allows for installation in an area roughly the size of an A5 paper with a clearance of only 50mm.
• Equipped with a rich interface with a slot-in 2.5-inch SATA disk slot

  • DisplayPort x1, USB 3.2 Gen1 x4, USB 2.0 x2, and LAN x2, Analog RGB port and RS-232C x2 (one port can be used as RS-422A or 485) are equipped. It also has a slot-in 2.5-inch SATA disk slot and CFast card slot that allows the OS and data to be separated, one for system boot and the other for maintenance and system log / take-out of collected data. It is very convenient because it can take such an operation form. and The model with wireless (BX-M210-J2314) can be connected to wireless LAN and Bluetooth compatible devices.
• "Power failure protection system" features power-off without OS shutdown

  • Equipped with the "Power failure protection system" function that protects data and prohibits writing to storage in the event of power failure. Along with the lockdown (disk writing suppression) function of Windows IoT Enterprise, power can be safely turned off without a shutdown process. Moreover, file system damage or data damage caused by sudden power failure can be avoided.
• CONTEC-customized BIOS provides useful utility

  • Useful utility of BIOS*1 customized by CONTEC is provided. The "CONTEC Fast Boot" achieves Windows startup in 10 seconds.*2 The "Disk Copy" function provides secure disk backup at the BIOS level, and also supports backup in file format or compressed file format. The "self-diagnosis" function enables monitoring and diagnosis of voltage levels, temperature data, and resource information for onboard devices, SSDs, and other resources. We also offer the CONTEC tools “BIOS update tool” for updating BIOS.*3
