Did you know that there is a need for more than 41,000 blood donations every day? A donation of blood will help an ill or injured patient within a few days. The turn-around can be that fast.

Contec hosts the famous “Big Red Bus” on site at its global headquarters in Melbourne, Florida every three months. Over half of the employees and members of other local businesses have had the privilege of donating to date.

OneBlood's "Big Red Bus"

“I love how easy they make it for us to donate. All I have to do is step outside my office and hop on the bus during my lunch break. My life is pretty hectic at work and at home but the Big Red Bus gives me an opportunity to give back to the community regularly.” – Katherine Hartman, Director of Marketing & Sales Administration

OneBlood

OneBlood is a non-profit organization responsible for providing safe, available and affordable blood to 213 hospital partners and their patients. It was established on January 27, 2012 when three of Florida’s independent, not-for-profit blood centers, Community Blood Centers of Florida, Inc. (CBCF), Florida’s Blood Centers, Inc. (FBC) and Florida Blood Services, Inc. (FBS) came together in a merger of equals.

More Than a Blood Center

Over the past few years, OneBlood has evolved into an innovation and collaboration center, expanding into the life-science industry. With the demand for blood ever increasing, OneBlood has been proactive and forward thinking by investing in the latest technologies to enhance their ability of research and development.
