Have you ever cried during a good sports movie? Chances are, if you have ever played competitive sports you have. I was watching “Remember the Titans” for the umpteenth time last week and started to get a little choked up. Then my wife walked by, rolled her eyes and shook her head in dismay. I played the ol’ “I've got something in my eye” trick but she didn’t buy it.

“What is it about sports movies that gets you so worked up?” she asked.

I explained that it’s hard to win. Most people don’t appreciate the blood, sweat, tears and losses that precede a big win. This is true in sports and also in the business world.

By listening to our customers and asking the right questions, we are able to help them solve problems and expand their offerings. Understanding the need is the first step. It’s all downhill after that. Then we can reach into our portfolio and pull out the right solutions for our customers. If we can exactly meet their needs, the game is over – we win!
