The IoT gateway M2M Gateway Series is a line of devices that convert information from field devices such as PLCs and sensors to IoT communication protocols. With the most recent firmware update, the M2M Gateway Series now provides a server function that converts PLC and sensor information to BACnet communication for transmission and a client function that monitors and controls BACnet-compliant equipment, including air-conditioning systems and lighting fixtures. The latest firmware can be downloaded for free from the Contec website.
Designed on the concept of being simple, convenient, and easy to use, the M2M Gateway Series is a line of gateway device products that come standard with the functions needed to build IoT applications. The series allows for easy communication with upper level systems by converting information from sensors, PLC/CNC, and Modbus devices to OPC UA, MTConnect, HTTPS, and MQTT communication protocols.
