New Product Release : VPC-5000 Series with Intel® Xeon® E Processor Support — Advanced FA Computer for High-Definition Image Processing and Edge AI Applications Processor

CONTEC Co., Ltd. has developed a new high-performance FA computer capable of continuous 24-hour operation and compatible with 9th generation Coffee Lake Refresh-S Intel® Xeon® E and Core™ processors. The company will begin receiving orders for the VPC-5000 Series on October 1, 2020.
This new product will become the top model in CONTEC’s VPC Series of FA computers, known for their 24-hour operability, high reliability, long-life components, and superior usability and maintainability. The VPC-5000 Series uses the Intel C246 chipset for server workstations and can be equipped with an Intel Xeon E 2200-series or 9th generation Intel Core processor. Products are also BTO with options of up to 64 GB of ECC memory, up to 4 hot-swap hardware RAID configurations, and more.
CONTEC developed the VPC Series (including the VPC-700, -1600, and -3000 series) as FA computers that can be flexibly configured according to specific applications through our BTO (Built To Order) system. Recent years have seen an increase in high-resolution image data processing performed by appearance inspection equipment for detecting foreign matter and damage, requiring greater processing stability and speeds.
As the top VPC Series model, the VPC-5000 Series offers an advanced edge computing environment with processing speeds about 2.5 times greater than conventional models (according to Passmark score comparison between a VPC-3000 Core i7-4770S model and a VPC-5000 Xeon E-2278GE (3.30 GHz 8C/16T) model).

Compatible with Intel Xeon E-2200 Processors or 9th generation Intel Core Processors. Up to 64GB of ECC memory can be installed. Applicable for transportation / social infrastructure / medical equipment / security / amusement and other fields requiring advanced multiple processing.
- Highly reliable and long life components based on 24-hour operation
The product is designed for high reliability and longevity with the know-how of the Box computer, which is synonymous with built-in PCs, in various places. Hot-swappable hardware RAID configurations enable a user to replace storage even when the system is running. It can be used with confidence in systems that require high availability.
- Long-term product availability and maintenance
In addition to longer-term product availability and maintenance services, a long-term on-site maintenance service is provided (for a fee). It reduces the life cycle costs for operation checks or device alterations/improvements each time PC model changes.
- Support Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC*1 and Windows Server IoT*2
The LTSC (Long Term Servicing Channel) version of Windows is installed to discourage unnecessary restarts or unwanted feature updates for operational applications. The product has a lockdown function that is useful for the developing secure dedicated terminals. A user can select a language from English, Chinese, Japanese or Korean in Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2019 LTSC, and can decide to use Windows Server IoT 2019, which is suitable for edge servers that require server-class multiple processing and network performance.
This product is ordered by BTO (Build to Order) method. Please inform the dealer about the BTO menu and request a quotation*3.
UWF (Unified Write Filter) is a function of Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2019 LTSC. They protect the disk from being actually written by redirecting the writing to RAM.
There are combinations that can not be configured. Please inquire in detail.
If needs to configure the RAID function, selects the same device for Storage 2, 3, and 4 as of Storage 1.
