Contec Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nishi-yodogawa-ku, Osaka; President: Kazuyoshi Nishiyama) has released a new lineup of CONPROSYS™ Robust I/O environment-resistant remote I/O units. Orders for all 23 new products began today.

All of these new remote I/O units can used even in harsh production floor environments for Ethernet (Modbus-TCP) or RS-485 (Modbus-RTU) communication, enabling configuration of systems for acquiring sensor data and controlling actuators from PCs, PLCs, and IoT gateways.

• Extensive lineup

  The lineup includes 13 Ethernet-type models and 10 RS-485-type models with different combinations of analog I/O, digital I/O, counter input, resistance temperature detector and thermocouple input for temperature measurement, and relay output. Choose from a wide range of interfaces to suit your production needs.

• Compact DIN-rail compatible design

  With support for 35 mm DIN rail mounting, these units allow for compact configurations for installation in limited spaces such as control panels and other equipment.

• Easy installation

  The available utility software makes it easy to configure settings for automatic module detection, communication parameters and sensors, input/output ranges, and more from a GUI screen. Input channel monitoring and output channel test output can also be performed from the GUI screen.

• Convenient Web HMI function (CPSR-ET7000/ET7200 only)

  The modules come with a built-in Web server that enables monitoring and control from remote locations via a Web browser. Easily create dynamic original Web pages for monitoring and controlling various I/O points.

• Windows/Linux support

  The Modbus communication master function provided via Windows and Linux APIs enables module communication control from a Windows PC.

• Programming-free I/O paired connection function (CPSR-ET7000/ET7200 only)

  An input and output module pair can be used as an alternative to signal cable connections. Whenever the digital or analog input channel status changes, the set value of the digital or analog output channel is automatically updated for signal output. This entirely eliminates the need for programming.
